In 2012, my family and I went to celebrate Hogmanay in Edinburgh, Scotland. At New Year’s Eve, the whole city gathers together in the Princess Street and Gardens to celebrate the end of the past year and the beginning of new one. That year, CHVRCHES performed at the Street Party and both my sister and I really wanted to see them. Unfortunately, we arrived at the party just when the roadies were cleaning up the stage. We had missed CHVRCHES.

It was nothing short of a tragedy. To see an originally Scottish band perform at the most Scottish festival of all? That would have been amazing! But unfortunately, we could not find a parking spot (perhaps that is the reason why the city of Edinburgh keeps telling you to travel by public transport during Hogmanay…) and missed their entire performance. So we went back home and kept listening to CHVRCHES’ debut album, “The Bones Of What You Believe”. But after two years of doing just that, it was time for some new music.

Last week, the band announced that their second album, “Every Open Eye”, would be released this September. That is only two months away! And to support last week’s announcement, CHVRCHES released their new single, “Leave A Trace”.

CHVRCHES second album,”Every Open Eye”, will be released on September 21, 2015. This fall, CHVRCHES will start their club tour and you can see if they perform close to you here.
